Two ThedaCare skilled nursing facilities have been recognized as Best Nursing Homes for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report.
Juliette Manor and Peabody Manor earned the U.S. News Best Nursing Home status by achieving a rating of “High Performing”, the highest possible rating, for Short-Term Rehabilitation. U.S. News gives the designation of Best Nursing Home only to those that satisfy U.S. News’ proprietary assessment of consistent performance in quality measures.
“We are grateful to the residents and their families who trust us with their health and well-being,” said Lisa Nebel MSPT, DPT, Vice President of Post-Acute with the ThedaCare Clinically Integrated Network. “We are also grateful for our team members who are committed to delivering personalized care at the level of expertise our community members deserve. The high success rates support our goals of providing comprehensive care to those who need short-term rehabilitation, and safely transitioning them home.”
As 24-hour Medicare certified Skilled Nursing Facilities, licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants are on duty day and night at both Peabody and Juliette Manor to ensure the best care for every resident. Services include skilled nursing care, comprehensive therapy services, custodial care, memory care, as well as, Palliative, and Hospice care. Both facilities are designed to support optimal clinical care while promoting social engagement and community.
Both Juliette and Peabody Manor offer long-term or short-term skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services in private rooms located in neighborhood-like settings, providing both privacy and ample opportunities for socialization and activity.
“Our care teams at both Juliette Manor and Peabody Manor provide interdisciplinary discharge planning to transition patients safely to the next level of care to optimize recovery and prevent readmission,” said Nebel. “This includes working collaboratively with other providers and teams to ensure the best possible care for those we are honored to serve in our facilities.”
Since 2009, U.S. News’ annual Best Nursing Homes ratings have assisted American families in need of either short-term rehabilitation or long-term care for themselves or a loved one.
For the 2025 edition, U.S. News evaluated nearly 15,000 nursing homes on patient and resident outcomes, such as infection rates; staffing levels; potentially inappropriate reliance on antipsychotic drugs; health inspection results and other indicators of quality.
To calculate the Best Nursing Homes ratings, U.S. News evaluated each nursing home’s performance using a variety of quality measures obtained from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The U.S. News methodologyfactors data such as resident care, safety and outcomes. Both short- and long-term ratings include data on nurse staffing, use of antipsychotic drugs and success in preventing ER and hospital visits. The long-term care rating also includes measures of whether a home changed ownership and how well it was staffed on weekends.
