The Shawano Medical Center Foundation announced the launch of its new campaign, Living Well Together, in support of the construction of ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano. The new facility, expected to open in 2015, will replace the 82-year-old Shawano Medical Center and create a local center for convenient, coordinated health care. The Foundation is supporting the campaign with a $250,000 lead gift and a challenge to the community to raise $500,000 in a challenge grant.
The number of patients needing wound care is growing at New London Family Medical Center, creating the need for more certified nurses.

At the June 3 meeting of the board of directors for Shawano Medical Center, the board unanimously approved plans for the construction of ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano. Children who have recurrent ear infections, hearing loss or speech delay may need ear tubes. Placing the tubes in the ears drains the fluid and ventilates the middle ear. Tubes may keep ear infections from recurring or keep fluid from building up behind the eardrum.

ThedaCare Behavioral Health’s (TCBH) renovated inpatient unit at Theda Clark Medical Center is only a few months from completion.
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield today announced the five hospitals, 22 clinics, and 775 doctors and other health care providers of ThedaCare will join health insurer’s Blue Priority accountable care network effective June 15, 2013.
