People afflicted by recurring back pain can learn about the common causes of back pains and strains and some treatment options at a free educational class offered by ThedaCare, in partnership with NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin. The program, “Break Free From Back Pain,” will be led by orthopedic spine surgeon, David DeWitt, MD. Dr. DeWitt will review remedies for self-relief and discuss when it is time to get serious and seek treatment.

Planning is underway for the 15th annual Community Health Network ‘Night Out for Women’s Health’ which will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Pillsbury Hall on the grounds of the Green Lake Conference Center. This year’s event, titled “The Joy of Connection” will feature mental health counselor, author and humorist Mary Pierce, who will provide a humorous yet inspiring message about the importance of positive relationships.
