People suffering from the pain and discomfort of recurring heartburn are encouraged to attend a free community program that introduces a variety of innovative treatment options. David Duppler, MD, general surgeon, will lead a candid discussion about “What Can Be Done For My Heartburn” on Tues., Nov. 25.
To better serve the region's cancer patients of today and tomorrow, ThedaCare is building an integrated cancer center where patients will receive the care and services they need in one location. To jump-start the $44 million project, today Michael Frohna, executive director for the ThedaCare Family of Foundations, announced “Connect: a community campaign to transform cancer care in our region,” a $7 million capital campaign. The new facility will be built on land ThedaCare owns in Appleton near Encircle Health on Capital Drive.

It naturally enlarges with age and can cause benign urinary symptoms but also can develop cancer. The goal of this article is to help raise awareness and provide some information on prostate cancer and screening.

Sara Messner (Mitchell) is very familiar with the doctor’s office at ThedaCare Physicians-Clintonville. “It’s the clinic I always had care at,” said Messner, 26, a Clintonville native. She is thrilled to return to her hometown as a physician assistant to provide the same quality of care she remembers receiving while growing up. “I enjoy being able to see multiple generations of a family,” said Messner. “People come in and they know my parents or my family.”
