Kuehn Joins ThedaCares Quality Council

Russ Kuehn, the chairman of the board at First National Bank in Berlin, has joined the ThedaCare Quality Council. Kuehn is one of three new community members to join the Quality Council, which oversees ThedaCare’s commitment to high-quality patient care and the safety of patients and employees.

You may have heard that ThedaCare recently affiliated with Community Health Network, based in Berlin, and Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital. ThedaCare Vending Machines Get Makeover

Visitors to ThedaCare’s hospitals will soon have healthier options to choose from at the facility’s vending machines. ThedaCare is switching all of its vending machines to a single provider who will offer a mix of healthy snacks and beverages along with traditional favorites, creating more variety for visitors and ThedaCare employees

Health Effects of Caffeine

Caffeine works by stimulating the central nervous system, heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure. About 80 percent of the adult population in the US consumes caffeine, and about 20 percent consume over 350 mg daily, a level sufficient to cause physical dependency.

A Fathers Fears

This past summer in July, Chuck Ullman remembers getting “the call” that his son-in-law was injured in a fall and being airlifted from Stockbridge to the Trauma Center at Theda Clark. Living close to Theda Clark himself, he raced to the hospital and arrived just in time on the bridge to snap a picture of ThedaStar landing on the helipad with his son-in-law Chris on board.

Princeton Attorney Joins ThedaCare Board

Princeton attorney Kristin Galatowitsch is looking forward to her new role serving on the ThedaCare Board of Trustees. She is one of five new community members from the region selected to serve on the board, which serves as the governing body for the community-owned healthcare organization.
