Effective Saturday, May 28, Walk-In Care at ThedaCare Physicians-Shawano will change its weekend hours to Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. Current weekend walk-in hours are 10 am to 6 pm. Weekday hours remain Monday-Friday 8 am to 7 pm. Patients must be registered 15 minutes prior to closing time to be seen that day. Traci Berry, ThedaCare practice administrator in Shawano, said the clinic staff evaluates patient needs based on the time they arrive and register. Having an earlier start time on weekend mornings will better meet patient demand.

Please join us Wednesday, June 8th at 5:30pm in celebrating the ThedaStar 30th Anniversary in the Fox Club at the Fox Cities Stadium as the Timber Rattlers take on the Clinton LumberKings.
On June 6, ThedaStar celebrates 30 years serving as a life force in Northeast Wisconsin. For 30 years we have landed at the intersection of precious lives and have flown patients “at the speed of life” to definitive care. We are privileged to be a force among many serving the greater good of critically ill and injured patients in our region.
Have you been part of one of the ThedaCare community conversations yet? I hope so! As we talk with business leaders, economic development leaders, nonprofit leaders, consumers and everyday folk about bringing our two Fox Cities hospitals into one regional medical center, we’re hearing thoughtful comments, feedback and questions about our idea.
Early detection of skin cancer leads to the most successful outcomes. ThedaCare and Forefront Dermatology are offering a free skin cancer screening, intended primarily for individuals who are uninsured or under insured. Dr. Victoria Negrete will lead the screenings.

Burns commonly happen at home. Touch a hot stove, spill hot water, even natural foods like certain peppers can contain a substance that is irritating to the skin and cause a burning sensation.
Chronic stress is when our bodies do not return to their more relaxed state. Our hearts keep racing, our muscles stay tense, and we breathe quickly, not deeply. A number of essential body functions stay suppressed, like our digestive systems, reproductive organs, and our immunity to infections. Headaches, sleeplessness, depressed mood, anger, and irritability can all be caused by stress, and they can lead to more serious diseases like obesity, depression, heart disease, and high blood pressure.
