Our exploration of future healthcare facilities has generated a lot of conversation. That’s just what we wanted! We participated in more than two dozen meetings in the last four months, and engaged more than 425 people. We reached out to many people, and others asked to join the conversation. We’ve met with regular folks at coffee chats and public forums in Kimberly and Neenah, business leaders at Rotary, Kiwanis and local chambers of commerce, economic leaders with the Fox Cities Regional Partnership and Future Neenah, our partners like Gold Cross Ambulance, and many others.
A free ThedaCare community program is designed to help people who suffer from knee pain. Brian Zirgibel, MD, orthopedic surgeon, with ThedaCare Orthopedic Care, will facilitate “Knee Pain/Osteoarthritis” on Tues., July 26. He will explore the latest surgical and non-surgical procedures that can help people ease their pain and get back to enjoying active lifestyles. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

ThedaCare is one of six organizations selected to participate in Transforming Complex Care (TCC), a multi-site program aimed at refining and spreading effective care that address the complex medical and social needs of high-need, high-cost patients.
Orthopedic surgeon Brett Young, MD, has returned to New London to continue to provide care with ThedaCare Orthopedic Care at ThedaCare Medical Center-New London. “I live in Appleton but practiced in New London when I first came to the area in 2002,” he said. “I enjoyed it there and when the opportunity came with Dr. Dietrich retiring, I was happy to return to New London.”

ThedaCare is once again among the nation’s best when it comes to using technology. The American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Health Forum released the results of the 18th Annual Health Care’s Most Wired® survey today, recognizing the Appleton-based organization for the 15th year in a row as one of the country’s “Most Wired” hospitals and health systems.
ThedaCare unveiled the newly constructed Juliette Manor in June, a 37-bed skilled nursing facility, or nursing home, on the campus of Berlin Memorial Hospital. The new Juliette Manor replaces a facility of the same name built in 1964 that once served as the community’s original hospital. ThedaCare and CHN reached an affiliation agreement in 2014 that included a commitment by ThedaCare to invest in capital improvements within the CHN service area.
Danielle Kamba is an avid gardener. She was thrilled to have the opportunity to share her passion for gardening with her students at New London High School, thanks to a $600 contribution from ThedaCare.
Thomas M. Tamlyn, MD, has joined ThedaCare as a physician specializing in interventional cardiology and vascular medicine. He will practice at ThedaCare Cardiovascular Care in Appleton.
