Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc., announced Imran Andrabi, MD, FAAFM, has transitioned into the newly created role of president and chief executive officer (CEO) effective July 1, as Cathy Jacobson retires as CEO of the organization.
Since launching the combined organization in January 2024, Dr. Andrabi has served as president of Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc., overseeing its vision, goals and strategic direction.
Prior to the combination, Dr. Andrabi served as ThedaCare’s president and CEO since 2017. In that time, ThedaCare advanced its commitment to population health by enhancing access to local, high-quality care.
ThedaCare has invested in community health in many ways including a $100 million modernization of its legacy hospital in Neenah with its Level 2 Trauma Center and ThedaStar Air Medical system; the new comprehensive Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Center; and a new Emergency Department in Berlin. ThedaCare also launched the lifeinspired movement focused on improving population health and enhancing community collaboration. The health system is now recognized in the top decile for quality and safety among health systems across the country.
“Dr. Andrabi is a family physician with a background in academic medicine who has cared for patients in a variety of settings, from primary care to central city clinics. In this expanded role, Dr. Andrabi will build upon Jacobson’s legacy by working alongside Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc.’s board, executive leadership team and regional leaders, as well as the combined system’s 22,000+ team members, to reinvent Wisconsin health by:
- Predicting and preventing health care challenges to contribute to the well-being of our communities
- Building integrated care models that ensure access to exceptional quality care that is safe, reliable, equitable and coordinated
- Amplifying the academic medicine mission of education, research and patient care
- Deploying new solutions, including the power of technology, digital innovation and data analytics, to bring our aspirations to life
Under his leadership, Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc., will continue to collaborate with community leaders and organizations across the regions it serves to determine how best to be a proactive partner in health.
