ThedaCare Orthopedic Care Offers Pre-Race, Post-Race Injury Assessments

Running or walking a Community First Fox Cities Marathon event can be hard on the body. ThedaCare Orthopedic Care staff members will offer free pre-race and post-race clinics to evaluate any aches and pains participants may have.

  • A free pre-race clinic will be noon-1 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 15, at ThedaCare Orthopedic Care, 820 E. Grant St., Appleton.
  • The free post-race clinic will be 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wed., Sept. 21, at the Grant Street clinic.

At both events, ThedaCare Orthopedics Care’s sports medicine team of licensed athletic trainers, physical therapists or sports medicine physicians will assess injuries and provide recommendations to help runners recover and return to their regular activities. No appointments are necessary.

The Community First Fox Cities Marathon presented by Miron includes not only the 26.2-mile marathon, but also a half-marathon sponsored by ThedaCare, a relay marathon, a kids’ fun run and a 5-kilometer run/walk.
