ThedaCare Requires Patients, Visitors and Team Members to Continue Masking
NEENAH, Wis. – For nearly 16 months, our communities have journeyed through the COVID-19 pandemic. While we are encouraged by the downward trend of positive cases and increase in vaccination rates, the virus and variants are still present. To ensure the safest environment possible to improve the health and well-being of our patients, visitors and caregivers, ThedaCare is continuing safety measures in all facilities.
Required Masking at ThedaCare
Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks outdoors or in most indoor settings. Click here to see the latest guidelines.
Health care is one of the exceptions to this announcement, according to the CDC. Even fully vaccinated people must still cover their faces when visiting health care facilities, in addition to other public spaces.
Regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status, masks will be required by patients, visitors and team members in any public setting on a ThedaCare campus. If patients or visitors do not have a mask, one will be provided.
COVID-19 Screening Continues
Safe behaviors, including staying home when ill, maintaining physical distance, washing hands frequently and wearing a mask, are our first line of defense against the virus. Screeners will continues to be present at all ThedaCare hospitals to prevent the spread of COVID-19. They will be screening all patients, visitors and team members upon entrance.
Patient, visitors and team members should enter and be screened at designated entrances for each facility. Signs will be posted to direct community members to the appropriate entrance.
Please do not visit if you are experiencing common COVID-19 symptoms, including: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, headache, sore throat, etc. Call your primary care provider to direct you to appropriate care.
Visitor Restrictions
As part ongoing safety measures, ThedaCare continues visitor restrictions currently in place. The guidelines will allow team members to continue safely caring for patients, and provide limited visitor access for loved ones.
