Experts Say It’s The Safest Way To Perform Electrical System Upgrades
On May 20, Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital will close for one day to upgrade its electrical system. The hospital will temporarily be closed from 7 am and will reopen at 7 am on May 21.
CEO Dawn Shuman says that the electrical upgrades are needed to improve system safety, functionality and performance. “We consulted with the power company experts and other ThedaCare leaders to assess the best option and determined that the safest way to perform the upgrades would be to close for one day,” said Shuman. “We are sorry for inconveniencing our patients and staff, but are so grateful to be part of such a close-knit community that understands we will do what’s necessary to protect their safety.”
Patients in the hospital that day will be transferred to Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca to continue their care. Waushara County EMS will have ambulances parked at the hospital in case someone arrives for treatment and needs to be transported.
“Waushara Family Physicians Clinic will be open for urgent care needs, however we encourage others seeking emergency care that day to go directly to Berlin Memorial Hospital or Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca,” said Shuman.
