Lydia Vitort to See Patients at ThedaCare Physicians-Shawano
ThedaCare Behavioral Health is further expanding its services in the Shawano area as it welcomes Lydia Vitort, RN, LMFT, as a mental health therapist. Lydia will join the ThedaCare Physicians-Shawano location alongside fellow providers Jay Arias-Flynn, MS, LPC, and Elena Tuskenis, MD.
Trained as a nurse and therapist, Lydia specializes in marital, family and health issues using a strength-based approach that focuses on each patient’s personal abilities. She earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and completed her master’s degree in therapy from UW-Stout. Lydia is a certified tobacco cessation specialist, has certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and has experience assisting patients with weight management issues. She belongs to the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Family is important to Lydia and she likes to spend as much time as possible with her kids and grandchild. Being outside among nature is healing to her and she can often be found working in the garden or caring for her horses.
