Kay Weina to Provide Obstetric Care in Neenah
Kay Weina, CNM, MSN, is now on the medical staff of Theda Clark Medical Center and Appleton Medical Center as a certified nurse midwife. She is a member of the staff at Women’s Care of Wisconsin.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Kay completed her master’s degree in nursing from Marquette University. She is board-certified as a nurse midwife through the American College of Nurse Midwives and is also a member of the organization. Kay has practiced in the field for more than 20 years in varying nursing roles ranging from labor, delivery and newborn care to high-risk obstetrics.
Outside of work, Kay enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She incorporates exercise into her routine as a way to stay healthy and meet new people. Kay also enjoys reading and camping.
Theda Clark Medical Center is a 166-bed acute care hospital founded in 1909. The Bariatric Program at Theda Clark, along with Midwest Bariatric Solutions and its surgeons, have jointly received two Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence designations by the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. Since 2004, Theda Clark has been honored nationally by the U.S. Health and Human Services department for achieving one of the highest organ donation rates in the country. The Theda Clark ThedaCare Surgery Center operates in Oshkosh.
ThedaCare™ is a community health system consisting of seven hospitals: Appleton Medical Center, Theda Clark Medical Center, ThedaCare Medical Center-New London, Shawano Medical Center, and Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. In addition, Community Health Network (CHN) (which includes Berlin Memorial Hospital) and Wild Rose Memorial Hospital are integrating into ThedaCare. ThedaCare also includes ThedaCare Physicians, ThedaCare Behavioral Health, and ThedaCare at Home. ThedaCare is one of the largest employers in Northeast Wisconsin with more than 6,175 employees, with the CHN and Wild Rose employees joining ThedaCare in January 2015.
