Dr. Thoms to Perform Breast Surgery, Diagnostics at Encircle Health
ThedaCare welcomes Carrie Ann Thoms, MD, FACS, a board-certified surgeon joining Fox Valley Surgical Associates. She cares for patients with breast concerns, offering diagnostic breast ultrasound, minimally invasive breast procedures and breast surgery. She will be located at Encircle Health in Appleton.
Dr. Thoms received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Her General Surgery residency was at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta. Dr. Thoms is certified in breast ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsy procedures. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Association of Women Surgeons, American Medical Association, and Wisconsin Medical Society.
Outside of work, Dr. Thoms enjoys hiking, biking, traveling and the arts.
