Security Health Plan of Wisconsin today announced that ThedaCare, one of Wisconsin’s leading health organizations, has joined the insurance company’s provider network.
“Adding ThedaCare to our network of providers and facilities means expanding high-quality health care options for all Security Health Plan members,” said John Kelly, chief marketing and operations officer for Security Health Plan. “For more than a century the doctors and nurses of ThedaCare have offered superb care for Wisconsin residents.”
Wisconsin’s third largest health care employer, ThedaCare serves more than 235,000 patients in 14 counties throughout northeast Wisconsin.
The addition of ThedaCare, including their Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) contracted providers, adds approximately 700 providers and 150 practice locations to Security Health Plan’s network of providers and facilities. ThedaCare has hospitals in Appleton, Neenah, Berlin, Waupaca, Shawano, New London and Wild Rose.
Coverage for services received at ThedaCare providers depend on a member’s product and benefit design. “We’re pleased to join Security Health Plan’s provider network,” said Dr. David Krueger, executive director of ThedaCare ACO. “We’re confident that Security Health Plan members will appreciate the high level of care they receive from ThedaCare’s coordinated team of primary and specialty care physicians, ancillary care providers and facilities.”
Security Health Plan is a member of the Marshfield Clinic Health System, serving more than 230,000 residents in Wisconsin. Accredited by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Security Health Plan insures employees of large and small businesses, individuals and families, and administers self-funded employer health plans.
