Renovations Help Create Welcoming Environment for Patients
Patients visiting ThedaCare Physicians-Black Creek will soon be greeted with an updated interior and an expanded care team. ThedaCare is replacing flooring throughout the clinic and also upgrading the clinic’s lab so staff members can better meet patients’ needs.
“The cosmetic updates will continue to provide the clinic with a warm, welcoming environment for patients in this community. The clinic has been a long-standing fixture in Black Creek and it is great ThedaCare is showing its commitment to the clinic and community through these changes,” said Nancy Buchholz, a nurse practitioner at the clinic. “These changes will allow us to continue providing high-quality, personalized an individualized care to the residents of Black Creek and surrounding area.”
Along with the remodeling, ThedaCare added Buchholz full-time at the clinic; she previously saw patients on a part-time basis. As a nurse practitioner, she can diagnose and treat patients and also write prescriptions. Buchholz works with two other providers who work at the clinic part-time: Kari Sheldon, MD, a family medicine physician, and nurse practitioner Jessie Grasse.
“Our team is excited to be able to provide more access for the community’s health care needs,” Dr. Sheldon said. “With the addition of Nancy as a full-time nurse practitioner, we should be able to better take care of both routine and urgent care needs right in Black Creek.”
ThedaCare is also searching for a family medicine physician to work at the clinic full-time.
“We’re trying to have a clinic that is able to exceed patient’s expectations, right here in their home community, with a home town feel but yet state-of-the-art facility and a team that is ready to meet their health care needs,” Dr. Sheldon said.
