Korina Pubanz Honored for Work with Victims of Sexual Assault, Abuse
The Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault honored Korina Pubanz, a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) at Shawano Medical Center, with its Voices of Courage Award in the Health & Human Services Category.
The Voices of Courage Awards honor Wisconsin individuals and organizations committed to ending sexual violence and supporting survivors. Since 1999, WCASA has presented the Voices of Courage Awards during April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).
As a SANE, Pubanz completed specialized training education and clinical preparation in the medical forensic care of a patient who has experienced sexual assault or abuse.
