When Dr. Ann Jones joined ThedaCare in 1999, she was fresh out of medical school and ready to start her career. She knew in her heart that pediatrics was in her soul.
“I really enjoy working with children, knowing that I can really make a difference for them with education and well childcare. It’s just something I was meant to do.”
She also enjoys working with families, helping them any way she can. “I’m the kind of pediatrician I would take my children to. ThedaCare has made it possible for me to focus on my patients, providing me with cutting edge technologies, like our electronic medical record, and continual improvement processes. Our CEO is a physician himself and he truly understands what we need to practice medicine so we can always be our best selves. It’s a great place to practice medicine.”
A Wisconsin native, she completed her medical training in Salt Lake City, Utah. When it was time to practice, she focused on finding something in Northeastern Wisconsin to be close to family. For her, the Fox Valley and ThedaCare were a perfect fit. She has practiced medicine there her entire career. “I like the idea of being in an urban area, but not a huge city,” said Jones. “You can get everywhere you need to be in 20 minutes, the cost of living is low, it’s a safe area and a great place for kids. Plus you’re just a few minutes away from great outdoor activities. I have two teenage daughters who love being outdoors. It’s just a great place to live and work.”
