ThedaCare Physicians–Darboy Welcomes Joshua Block, MD
ThedaCare has hired Joshua Block, MD, a family medicine physician at ThedaCare Physicians–Darboy. Dr. Block has special interest in sports medicine, musculoskeletal illnesses and in-office procedures.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Yale University, Dr. Block received his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He completed his residency training through Columbia St. Mary’s Family Medicine Residency program in Milwaukee and received the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Medical Student Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Block’s professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Wisconsin Medical Society.
Dr. Block is new to the Fox Cities and excited to discover the community. When he’s not at work, he enjoys reading, hiking, playing sports and listening to live music. He also likes to spend time with friends and family.
ThedaCare™ Physicians includes more than 144 employed physicians and 70 nurse practitioners and physician assistants at 22 locations throughout the region and includes specialists in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, orthopedics and general surgery. There is also a FastCare clinic located in Shawano. According to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, ThedaCare Physicians is also the nation’s leader in implementing Open Access, same-day appointment services for its patients. ThedaCare Physicians is also the leader in implementing an electronic medical records system, including a patient portal called MyThedaCare, that allows patients to access their medical information, request appointments, refill prescriptions, and consult their physician from their home computer.
