Epley Wins 2016 Nightingale Award

A huge congratulations to Heather Epley, lead RN at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah’s birth center, who recently received a 2016 Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing Practice.

“Her service, expertise, passion and leadership were obvious from the moment I met her.” – Laura Reed, COO and chief nursing executive at ThedaCare.

Epley was one of four recipients of the 2016 Nightingale Award, which honors Wisconsin RNs and LPNs who have made a difference in the lives of patients and families. The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Nursing presented the award. Nominations come from colleagues, other healthcare providers, patients and their families, the general public or an individual.

“I was honored to be nominated, but then when I actually won it was unbelievable,” said Epley. “My co-workers attended and it was such a show of support for the unit.”
