Looking to jump start your nursing career? Interested in the healthcare field but aren’t sure where to start? Consider participating in ThedaCare’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Scholarship Program!
ThedaCare’s CNA Scholarship Program is offered in partnership with Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) at no cost to selected candidates. ThedaCare Family of Foundations pays for the CNA course as well as the examination fee. In addition, upon successful completion of the course and CNA certification exam, candidates will be eligible for part-time or full-time employment with ThedaCare at one of the following ThedaCare facilities: Peabody Manor, Juliette Manor, or The Heritage!
Program Details:
- Internal ThedaCare employees and external candidates are eligible to apply.
- Program starts on Thursday June 27, 2019 and concludes Tuesday August 13, 2019. All classes listed in the schedule in the job posting are mandatory and cannot be made up.
- Course is a combination of classroom instruction, clinical rotation at Peabody Manor, and independent study.
- Tuition and exam costs covered by donors of the ThedaCare Family of Foundations. ($1,000 value)
- Students will have access to all FVTC student services including student advising, student learning center, tutors, etc.
- After successfully passing the CNA exam, students will be hired as a CNA at one of our post-acute facilities.
Important Program Dates:
- Application deadline is Friday May 24, 2019 (UPDATE: Deadline has been extended to Friday, May 31, 2019 at noon)
- Interviews will be held Late May-Early June
- Offers will be extended the week of June 10, 2019
- Program begins on Thursday June 27, 2019
