Sturgeon Shuffle Marks Five Years

It’s time to register for the 5th Annual Sturgeon Shuffle! The event on Sat., April 25, is a 5-mile road run and 2 – mile run/walk for athletes of all ages and abilities.

It’s time to register for the 5th Annual Sturgeon Shuffle! The event on Sat., April 25, is a 5-mile road run and 2 – mile run/walk for athletes of all ages and abilities.

The course will run along County Hwy. X west of New London paralleling the Wolf River. The return portion of the course will take the runners and walkers along the Sturgeon Trail, a paved trail. Historically, this is a time of year of the unique running of the sturgeon.

The Sturgeon Shuffle is presented by ThedaCare Foundation -New London and all proceeds raised will be given back to support local community programs that improve the health and well-being of the communities.

Registration starts at 8 a.m. at New London Middle School and the race starts at 9:30 a.m. The early bird entry fee is $27.50 for an individual, $22.50 for age 14 and under and $86 for a team of 4. The fee increases after April 1.

Awards will be given to the top finishers in each age division: 14 & under; 15 to 18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60 and up. There will also be a team awards for the top finishing teams time and an award for the best team costume.
