Lace up your Shoes, Head to the Gym and Train

Many residents are tired of winter and are looking for a reason to head to the gym or use that exercise equipment you have in your home.  It is time to lace up those walking and running shoes and train to participate in the 15th annual ThedaCare Helping Hands for Cancer 5K run/Walk on Sat., May 21.

The 5K walk/run is a shotgun start beginning a 10 a.m. on a 3.1 mile course that starts and finishes at the front entrance of Berlin Memorial Hospital (soon to be ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin). The run includes children and adults and is a great event for families to participate in for a great cause.  Pledges and monies collected from the run/walk will benefit the Berlin Area Foundation and will be used for local residents and families affected by cancer.   For more information including a map of the course and to register online go to www.berlin5k.org. Registration is also available the day of the event.
