National Doctors Day is March 30

Dear Friends:

Doctors play an important role in our lives. March 30 is set aside each year as National Doctor’s Day, a time for all of us to stop and say thank you to the men and women who are there to help us at every stage of our lives.

As President and CEO of ThedaCare, I want to publicly thank all of the doctors who are always there to take care of the people in our community. The doctors within ThedaCare along with our independent physician partners make a difference in our community through their outstanding work. They are committed to providing the best possible care to each and every one of their patients.

ThedaCare’s mission is to help create a healthier community. It goes beyond providing high-quality, low-cost healthcare. We are active in a number of initiatives designed to make our community a better place to live. Through the Community Health Action Team or CHAT, we’ve looked at a number of issues, including poverty, obesity, domestic violence and rural health issues. Our physicians and physician partners — through their hard work – are essential in helping us achieve our mission.

You likely won’t find any cards for Doctor’s Day the next time you go into the store, but please don’t let that stop you from thanking your doctor the next time you see him or her for their dedication and hard work. Let them know the healing care they provide truly makes a difference in our community. Your kind words will definitely make a difference in their day.
