Nutritional needs change as people get older. But they can achieve good health through nutrition at any age.

Nutritional Health Important to Maintain Overall Health

Nutritional needs change as people get older. But they can achieve good health through nutrition at any age.

“We want people to know they can make healthier, dietary choices, which will help them with any health issues in the future,” said Carol Peotter, a registered dietitian at Riverside Medical Center.

That’s why the hospital is holding “Nutrition for Healthy Aging” on Thurs., March 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at RMC’s Lower Level Conference Room.

The class will cover the importance of fiber, phytochemicals in foods, supplements and more. People can also talk with a registered dietitian. “It is important to learn ways to maximize your health at any age,” said Peotter.
