“I was ready to chase my grandchildren around again.”
I was very short of breath; couldn’t make a flight of steps. When I raked or shoveled, I wouldn’t last very long and would get nauseated. I just couldn’t do the things I wanted to do. I had some ongoing heart issues before, and my doctors were monitoring a valve for a couple of years. But things just got worse and worse.
They recommended I replace the valve and so we did. After just three days in the hospital I was feeling great already. Then it just got better from there. I can do anything now—made an ice rink for the grandkids, have gone sledding and fishing with them, even climbed to the top of the Smoky Mountains. It’s been an amazing improvement.
