Having a family member or friend struggling with a medical crisis often sparks the idea to have an event to raise money to help them with expenses. Organizing an individual benefit can be a daunting task, but a new class provides essential information to help make your event a success.
Community Benefit Tree will present “How to Organize an Individual Benefit” from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thurs., Aug. 22, at Appleton Medical Center’s Ironwood Room. This class is designed for people who are thinking about organizing a benefit to raise funds for a family member or friend dealing with a medical crisis.
The class will discuss agenda and timelines, raffles, event supplies, promotions, bookkeeping, who to invite and more. Seating is limited for this class. There is a $5 fee. Register online at www.thedacare.org or ThedaCare On Call™ at (920) 830-6877 or (800) 236-2236 weekdays, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
