Convenient Access to Critical Care
Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death and a leading cause of adult disability in the United States, according to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The best-equipped hospitals to administer appropriate care are those with comprehensive stroke centers and stroke center certification.
Our mission is to improve the treatment and clinical outcomes of patients who have suffered a stroke or those with impending stroke. The Comprehensive Stroke Center at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah proudly partners with first responders and rural hospitals. At the first sign of a stroke, it is important to have local access to treatment. We offer 24-hour acute care to best serve the needs of our patients.
We Offer the Highest Level of Treatment
ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah has a long history of providing stroke care for the communities in Northeast and Central Wisconsin. The hospital was one of the first certified Primary Stroke Centers in the state, and is now the fifth hospital in Wisconsin to be recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. With certification from DNV GL–Healthcare, we have the specialists, infrastructure and resources needed to offer the highest level of competence for treatment of serious stroke events.
Through the combined expertise of our local health and care organizations, patients benefit from an interdisciplinary team approach to care. In addition to working closely with our interventional radiologists, rehabilitation and physical medicine providers, we collaborate with the highly-specialized brain, spine and pain care experts from Neuroscience Group of Northeast Wisconsin to deliver advanced treatment options and compassionate care to patients and families.
