Social Distancing

Last updated: March 27, 2020

In addition to practicing good hygiene and self-isolating after travel, increased social distancing is being encouraged nationwide to reduce the spread of COVID-19 throughout the U.S.

Unlike the restrictions imposed by quarantine or isolation, social distancing focuses less on locational constraints and more on an awareness of personal space, as demonstrated in the graphic provided here. As we head into the weekend and prepare to spend time with friends and loved ones, please consider ways you can prevent potential disease transmission, such as avoiding mass gatherings, public transportation and enclosed shared spaces, like elevators.
