Ingredients
- 16 ounces fresh strawberries
- 1 ½ tablespoons balsamic glaze (prepared or recipe follows)
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 sprig of fresh tarragon
Balsamic Glaze
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- Mix balsamic vinegar with brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer until glaze is reduced by half and coats the back of a spoon, about 20 minutes.
- Let cool, then pour into a lidded jar. Seal and store in the refrigerator.
Directions
- In a large serving bowl, combine the strawberries and balsamic glaze.
- Grind the black pepper on top and gently mix.
- Garnish with tarragon.
