The order represents the physician’s intentions in Epic or the Electronic Health Record (EHR), which drives workflow for several teams supporting the physician and clinical practices, concurrently during a patient’s stay. Incorrect classifications and duplicate orders can lead to billing errors, poor patient experiences, producing “waste” and “defects” which impact ThedaCare, the patients we serve, and our communities.
